Franklin Lakes

Scenic Franklin Lakes offers a tranquil setting and close proximity to Manhattan. Many neighborhoods offer luxurious homes set on an acre of privacy. Quiet side streets have close proximity to shopping and dining. There are several Lakes that provide water activities and relaxing escapes. You will love the Franklin Lakes Nature preserve where you can kayak in the summer, walk wooded trails or take the pooch for a stroll around the reservoir. Beautiful, Shadow Lake Club offers tennis, a pool and boating. Indian Trail Club on Franklin Lake, is a full-featured country club with activities for the entire family. 

Horseback riding is available at Saddle Back Riding you can lease a horse, board a house, enjoy lessons, ride in the outdoor corral and stay warm with 2 indoor rings.

The Market Basket famous for gourmet food offers all the ingredients for yummy meals or quick prepared feasts for those busy days. 

Catch a NYC bus at the expanded town park-and-ride, drive to a nearby train station or hop on 208 for the 17 mile drive to the George Washington Bridge.

The regional high school district offers students a choice between top rated Ramapo or Indian Hills High schools. 

3 specialized four-year honors level programs are available to interested students. Choices include Engineering/Design, International Studies/Business, Science, Medicine and Research.  University Honors Programs

Colonial Road, High Mountain and Woodside Avenue are the three, K-5^th grade schools. Located in the bustling downtown area is Franklin Middle School with 6^th to 8^th grades.
